Lumber and fencing
Tires
Hazardous waste
Stable matter
Car parts
Dead animals

Read that list again with a remodel in mind. The carpet you tore out? Not bulk. The baseboards and the old fence panels? Not bulk. That’s most of what a renovation actually produces.

If you’re in a multi-family unit in Chandler, the exclusions go further — dirt, gravel, manure, concrete, rock, and block tile are also off the table on top of everything above.

The DIY Route: Chandler’s Collection Center

Chandler runs a Recycling–Solid Waste Collection Center at 955 E. Queen Creek Road. You can haul construction debris there yourself. Where the DIY route falls apart is weight and trips. Tile, plaster, and old carpet are deceptively heavy. A half-ton pickup fills up fast and rides low. Three trips across Chandler in July, loading and unloading by hand each time, is how a free Saturday becomes a lost weekend and a sore back.
