So you drag it to the curb for bulk trash and wait. Here’s the part nobody warns you about: the City of Chandler will not take remodel or construction debris in curbside bulk collection. That pile isn’t going anywhere on its own. Let’s break down what Chandler actually accepts, what it doesn’t, and how to get the rest gone.
What Chandler curbside bulk trash will NOT take
Chandler runs bulk collection by appointment, not a set neighborhood week. You call 480-782-3510 or use the city’s online Bulk Request Form with 7–14 days’ advance notice, and your first four bulk pickups and/or Collection Center visits per calendar year are free. Good program — but it’s built for household bulky items, not renovation waste. According to the city’s own rules, these are excluded from curbside bulk:
- Construction and demolition debris — drywall, lumber, cabinets, countertops, flooring
- Dirt, rock, gravel, concrete, block, and tile
- Hazardous materials — paint, pool chemicals, gasoline, varnish
- Electronics, tires, and vehicle bodies
- Batteries (except small alkaline), medical waste, and scrap metal
That list is basically the entire contents of a remodel dumpster. Chandler will take construction debris at its Recycling-Solid Waste Collection Center — but for a fee, and you have to load it, haul it, and unload it yourself. For most homeowners mid-project, that means multiple truck trips they didn’t budget time for.
The three cleanouts new Chandler homeowners run into
1. Remodel & demo debris
Ripped-out tile, torn carpet, old vanities, drywall scraps, and cabinet carcasses. Heavy, sharp, and awkward — the classic curbside reject. This is our bread and butter: we load it from wherever it sits (garage, side yard, driveway), sweep up, and haul it off. No dragging it to the street, no permit, no dump run.
2. Move-in box & packaging cleanout
Chandler’s new-build closings around Chandler Heights and the south side mean a lot of move-in weekends — and a lot of flattened boxes, foam, plastic wrap, and packing debris. Curbside recycling caps out fast on that volume. We’ll clear the whole garage in one stop so you can actually park in it.
3. Garage & monsoon-storm cleanout
Buying an older Chandler home in Pepperwood or Sunbird? The garage often comes with the previous owner’s leftovers. And with the 2026 monsoon (June 15–Sept 30) forecast wetter than normal, a single haboob or microburst can drop fence panels, snapped branches, and shredded palm fronds across a Chandler yard overnight. We charge by the volume your load takes in the trailer, so you only pay for the space you use:
- Single item — from $95
- ¼ trailer — $289 (about 120 cu ft)
- ½ trailer — $389 (about 240 cu ft)
- ¾ trailer — $479 (about 360 cu ft)
- Full trailer — $579 (about 480 cu ft — a 16-ft trailer, roughly 17.8 cubic yards)
Heavy material like tile, concrete, dirt, and hot tubs we quote on site first, since weight matters more than volume there. We’re donation-first — anything still usable goes to Goodwill or Habitat for Humanity ReStore before it ever sees a landfill.
A few things we can’t take
To keep it honest: we don’t handle paint, chemicals, asbestos, tires with rims, or medical waste — those need specialized disposal. Everything else from a typical Chandler remodel or cleanout, we’ve got.
Frequently asked questions
Does Chandler bulk trash pick up remodel and construction debris?
No. The City of Chandler excludes construction and demolition debris — drywall, tile, lumber, cabinets, concrete — from curbside bulk collection.
